(Izaya is so GODDAMN bored. Filing is boring. Time to mess around a bit?)
hello! my name is nakura, i'm new... i've seen your network post. while i'm not a wizard myself, i do understand what's like to be without familiarity, because that's exactly what i'm going through... would you mind if we talked for a while?
[Oh, no! What a sweet message! Belladonna is delighted to respond.]
Hello, Nakura! I hope you don't mind me using voice, I just find it simpler. You're welcome to continue talking in text, if that's what you're most comfortable with! Thank you so much for reaching out; I'd be happy to talk with you as long as you'd like. I know it can be overwhelming to find oneself in such an unfamiliar situation.
that's very helpful, i will never be able to repay you. i'm afraid i won't find my place here, it's too foreign and frightening and i'm left wondering if there is any space for me at all.
[Bella will take category "things she didn't expect today" for 100. There's no response to the message itself, because that would be a waste of time. She almost loses grasp of her own phone in her shock and haste, letting out a strangled cry at the sight of the gaping wound.
There is no magic in her arsenal that can get her to him faster, so she just runs as fast as she can. When she arrive, she all but slides onto her knees to get down to his side, automatically reaching to cradle his wounded body against her.
Naturally, this means her own clothes end up soaked in his blood.]
Izaya, what happened? How did...how did this...?
[Her healing starts immediately, her desperation blasting the magic outward at an alarming rate. He'll feel the pain ease first before his body begins to stitch itself back together, but, panicked, she admits:]
I've never...this much blood loss. There's only so much I think I can do.
[Even when the wound finishes healing, he'll be weak, needing to hydrate and rest to get his cell count back up.]
(Look at him, with the back of his head on her thighs, resting and typing on his phone. Their rooms are just not the place to be, Izaya much prefers privacy while he's working and this is the best possible place, and that's what most of his attention is centered on. He looks at his notebook, types something that certainly looks Russian, but happens to be gibberish, and then finally, he sighs.
He's bored. At least he's done with transcribing and codifying his notes, so he jumps off the lap with a smile on his lips when he takes off a bottle of kerosene from the inner pockets of his fur-lined jacket, pours it over the paper and...
Hands her a lighter.)
Time to get rid of the evidence! Would the lady do the honors?
[What Izaya calls boring Belladonna calls peaceful. She's having a pleasant time just providing him a space to rest his head while he works, one hand always seeming to be on his shoulder or in his hair, her good mood evident by the vines that have started to sprout seemingly from nowhere in her hair.
When he jumps up--so suddenly, as it always seems, her eyes light up, holding the lighter to her heart for a few seconds before she eagerly flips the top open.]
(After Seven Minutes in Heaven, both of them had decided how they were going to spend the rest of their day. With Izaya's roommates out in the Carnival, it felt more than fair to lock the door behind him with the certainty that none would open. Thin fingers enter the sea of golden locks, gently caressing her scalp before lips come to hers again.
Without physical stimulation, that erection she's felt is long gone, but well. He's young. Shouldn't take too long, anyway.)
[Despite her apprehension, Belladonna is happy to be here. Just the two of them, him so patient and her so resolved. When he comes close, she’s smiling, of course, and all she wants to do is gaze into his eyes. Like boiling pits of tar that could sink even the most fearsome of giants.
She kisses him back. The kissing comes easily now, even though her hands shake from anticipation and a nervous giggle is stuck in her throat.]
(Look at them, alone at last. Izaya's been rather busy, trying to clear the red in his eyes from seeing his precious humans turned into creatures he barely even recognizes. Lucifer said he'll talk to Mammon, so hopefully, such a thing doesn't happen again. It doesn't mean Izaya isn't thinking about war, though.
Not like he hadn't spoken to Barbas himself. Oops.
Either way, being quietly closed off for a while should do him some good, with his... What are they, again? In his arms, resting against his chest like this. It's almost too nice, and he can't stop himself from pressing a kiss to her cheek.)
[She was just savoring the feeling of his chest rising and falling, his heartbeat its own lullaby. After the carnival turned sour, emotions were high for everyone. Belladonna, too, was struggling with what to do, feeling powerless to help the people she'd already come to feel so close to.
Now she turns her face up to give Izaya that smile of hers.]
What are you thinking about? Is it something quite awful?
[She switches to text, actually. Because she's practicing being modern, and whatnot.]
Thank you very much for checking in on me. I'm doing well, and have indeed found my mirror! I keep it safe in my nightstand, so hopefully I won't lose it again in the future!
I have been made aware of some of the trauma that was experienced by those who left Penance to help on Lucifer's mission. You weren't among them, I hope?
(Izaya's quite bored. Not much to work with, his office is all but ready, nobody he'd particularly like to fuck with, so he's at home for the time being. In his fingers rest his blade, dancing between them in flair before Izaya's obnoxious voice comes out of him.)
Hey, Bella? What do you think is worse? Murder or murder by proxy?
[Belladonna's idly practicing her magic when his voice sounds. To her, of course, far from obnoxious. It sounds like he's about to go on one of his trademark thought exercises, which are always quite enjoyable! She stops what she's doing to give him her full attention.]
Well, I'm sure it depends on the circumstance overall, but just by definition, I suppose it would be willful murder. Perhaps more weight would be put on an indirect murder depending on who the proxy is?
Hello! It's okay to bother you on here, right? This is Shinra, by the way. Since I might be staying with you for a little while, at least until my own perfect beautiful lover comes and sweeps me off my feet, I thought it might be polite to give you a proper vetting opportunity!
Hello, Shinra! I'm not the best with text, but I've been practicing, so please excuse any typos or slowness in my responses. :)
I'm absolutely thrilled we can provide a place for you to stay! Although, I'm not sure what you mean. I don't think there's anything I'd need to screen you for? You being Izaya's friend is more than enough for me! You've been so lovely to me, as well, with all these troubling circumstances!
[Neal comes home early from his desk job, wanting to catch some time with his wife before the kids come home. He lets himself inside, leaving his briefcase at the door, and pausing long enough to shed his suit jacket.]
[Since it's earlier in the day, Belladonna's still working on cleaning things up before she moves onto cooking. As soon as she hears her husband's voice, though, she drops her duster, running to the upstairs bannister to beam down at him.]
Darling!
[Racing down to meet him, she nearly throws herself into his arms, but instead settles for taking his hands in her own, eyes shining. The potted plants that line the entryway begin to flourish in her happiness.]

Also, like I said, there are a lot of these little ones, and while I don't mind keeping one or two, ultimately I can't watch them all, but I also don't want to just come over to your place with crates of kittens and puppies without warning.
Teddy, hello! It's so good to hear from you again!
[And what a wonderful message it is! Her own voice is full of clear excitement--but maybe she's always just this positive all the time.]
What a wonderful idea! With all that chaos going on, I was only able to pick up a few stragglers, myself, but you've done a truly good deed! I'd absolutely love to help in any way that I can.
