Hey, in some places, there's spousal privilege under the eyes of the law. Basically, they can't be made to testify against each other if one is in trouble. Isn't that romantic? Though, I suppose a couple that's truly in love wouldn't testify even if there would be severe repercussions. Anyway, did you prefer to talk in person instead? We can continue here!

(High places were always preferred. It wasn't out of any sense of superiority or through a need to observe, as he had no interest in looking down at all. What held his interest captive was always the sky, and what existed within and beyond it—beyond the nitrogen and oxygen and any components that could be broken down, it was just a matter of preference.

Yes, he'd take the most ordinary sky over the most spectacular terrain any day. There's something beyond it, immeasurable, Valhalla. What else did it hold, if Hell had been real as well?

When he makes it up, he's earlier than Bella, if only by a minute. He's being good, hasn't brought any of his medical supplies, and intends to keep this strictly an emotional examination of observed behavior. This is one of the more interesting and unexpected things he's seen Izaya get involved in, with elements he couldn't have even predicted. And, well, he's terribly nosy and shameless about it.)

Ah, Belladonna! (Shinra flings his arm up for a quick and enthusiastic wave once she enters the roof area, wearing an expression that seemed effortlessly familiar, like they've known each other for years.) [In the brief time they've known one another, Belladonna's come to find Shinra just delightful! This, of course, hardly means much since she seems to feel this way about most, if not every person she meets. In any case, she waves back with a bright smile when he greets her, quickly making her way over.]

That's such a fun thought! But oh, no, I wouldn't dare do that to a friend!

[Because, clearly, they're friends now. She laughs.]

Isn't it such a splendid view? I believe that this is the highest spot you can get within the gates, and you can really see so much!
