[It would be useful to read up on the language of color, but it isn't something she's taken any time to do as of yet. Belladonna tilts her head up toward him, wanting to watch him talk more than just listen.]

(He tries to move -- it's a bad idea. He'll see the world rotate again, which gets him to breathe in and fucking stay put for a goddamn moment. Nothing that Izaya is particularly fond of, but alas.)

Black is a misunderstood color, don't you think? People think it alludes to darkness, but it can also mean elegance and authority. Does that mean people correlate authority to darkness, even while alluring and elegant? I'm not sure. I don't think it's a fair picture at all.

[Finally, as if after the clearing of a storm, Bella's sunshine smile peaks through the abysmal mood his injury had put her in.]

(Considering that he was soaked, his steps carried the blood, and he's still dripping a little on her bedsheets.)

[They sure as fuck did. Belladonna had all but forced herself to ignore the cold, somewhat sticky sensation of the blood soaking into her clothes and bedding...but at the acknowledgement of it, she laughs.]

It's alright; I'll clean it up, it's no trouble.

[Maybe she can just magic herself some new ones, who knows.]

I'll bring you a wash basin and a change of clothes whenever you'd like.

(Well, hopefully he can wash his jacket. For everything else, he doesn't care for. It's just a v-neck and a pair of jeans, all varying tones of black. Nothing else is too difficult to replace.)

[She nods, automatically reaching for his hands again. God, girl, just get up and go!]

You really scared me! I'm used to smaller injuries...broken bones from a fall, but nothing so life-threatening.

(Hands on his yet again. He'll go a step further, taking them to blood stained lips to a gentle kiss. Brown eyes, although the light against them might reveal the reddish hue observe her reactions as he slowly sets their hands down.)

I make enemies rather easily, Bella-chan. I'm sorry to say it, but it may happen more often than you'd expect.

[O-Oh. It's such a sweet gesture, she can't take her eyes off of her hands after he's released them. She starts to feel restless, like she definitely has to get up and start moving.]

It absolutely was. The person who's done it? A beast. I hardly consider them human.

(And that's a trend Izaya has already gone through with Shizuo. Brute force, easily enraged, but the shark was definitely overkill.

Izaya takes a moment to remove his jacket, assessing the damage on the fabric for a second, most most of his attention is centered on her, catching glimpses when her own is not on him.)

Back home? I got stabbed in the middle of the street.

Stabbed? That's horrible!

[Bella, of course, is a wannabe agent of chaos, but her idea of mayhem doesn't necessarily involve outright violence, so the idea shocks her, and her own hands begin to wring as she (thinks) his attention is focused elsewhere.]

Even being treated like that...you still love humans?

[Truly, his heart is bigger than anyone's she's known before!]

Of course. It's what I do, I love humanity, even when it's dark, doomed or outright violent. It's only a small part of it, after all!

(He just does not promise that his love will not match in kind. She'll probably snap at him, but Izaya grips on the bedpost to get to his feet.

He's feeling a little better, at least. The spins have lessened in intensity he finds, and he sighs as he glances towards the holes on his shirt.)

[Snapping is a bit of a harsh term for her reaction, but Belladonna does let out a maternal noise of disapproval as she jumps to her feet, trying to gently urge him back down again.]

No, no, you're not getting up until I've at least gotten a little bit of tea in you!

[This time, she definitely notices him eyeing his jacket.]

(That'll do! He's not going to lie, he's soaking in the attention too. He revels in it, but there are just not too many people who Give a Fuck TM to care for him as much.

Had it been Namie, she'd just give him a nonchalant shrug, and then promptly, she'd tell him he'd clean this mess. Terrible woman.

Slowly, he resets to his position, combing his hair as he searches around.)

(There's a laugh, to show her he's merely teasing.)

[She can't help but smile, holding his coat hostage in her arms. Obviously, she intends to use magic to remove the tears, but doesn't trust doing it right away. If she gives it back now, all her leverage will be gone, and he might not sit still after all.]

I'll be right back, so don't get into any trouble!

[She doesn't think he actually will. In a flurry, Belladonna heads out, choosing not to worry about her bloody and disheveled appearance. She won't be gone long, only as long as it takes to get some tea brewed, and when she comes back she'll have a tray with hot black tea (made in the classic English style) and crumpets.

Izaya, of course, will have had more than enough time to go through her things.]

(Look at her learning.

Izaya drinks more tea than one would imagine, so with the frame of time he has, he sure has time to snoop at least a little bit. As soon as the door closes, he counts the seconds to make sure she's not coming back and to his search he goes.

The only thing he finds is a -- mirror? And a man with a terrible moustache. It must be the man Bella idolizes, and suddenly, Izaya feels just so much better about himself, crimson fingers touching the smooth skin on his cheeks and above his lip. Oh, thank God.

He'll watch for a while, and it's a rather boring depiction of the man just doing boring shit in his boring castle, so he puts the mirror down to continue his search, except now enough time has gone by. Wasted his opportunity hoping the wizard in the glass would give him something interesting to see. Goddamnit.

By the time Bella returns, it's like he's never left his spot. :) )

[Belladonna can't help looking pleased as punch that he apparently hasn't moved, none the wiser to his sleuthing as she sets the tray down on the nightstand.]

There! A promise is a promise, but I'll just put this here for when you've showered.

[What so it doesn't get bloody again and all that. It looks like she must've done her magic while she was waiting for the water for the tea to boil, because it's already good as new. Belladonna hangs it nicely on an unbloodied bedpost before taking a seat once again.]

(Are there limits to the rest of her magic? He can't help but wonder. Perhaps Bella herself doesn't know them either? A cold hand selects the tea, the other warming itself on the china before he sips.

Izaya sighs, satisfied. Nothing like a nice cup of tea.)

[She doesn't expect anything from him, just happy to make sure that her offerings of tea and a light snack will give him back some of his constitution.]
